At Bhanumati Homestay, food is not manufactured in a commercial hotel production line — it is cooked fresh in our kitchen just like at home.
We source organic mountain lentils, finger millet (Mandua), aromatic Pahadi herbs, fresh dairy from local village cows, and seasonal vegetables from surrounding hill farms. Every dish is seasoned with authentic Himalayan spices such as Jakhya, Jamboo, and local mustard.
Guests can dine in our warm indoor dining hall or enjoy lunch on our open mountain viewing terrace overlooking the Panchachuli snow range.
The crown jewel of Kumaon: rich, protein-packed black soybean curry slow-cooked with roasted flour and hill spices.
Mountain baby potatoes tempered with pungent Jakhya seeds, roasted red chilies, and fresh green coriander.
Wholesome, warm finger millet flatbread served with pure homemade butter (ghee) and wild hill honey.
Nutritious horsegram lentil soup traditionally consumed across Kumaon for warmth and kidney health.
Thick country curd seasoned with freshly ground pungent yellow mustard paste, turmeric, and local cucumbers.
